Dennis is the recipient of the prestigious Master of Photography granted by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). He has also received his Photographic Craftsman and has been awarded the "Excellence of Imaging" from the PPA for having over 13 loan prints accepted into the PPA Exhibition.

Dennis has also been named Intermountain Photographer of the Year several times and Master Photographer of the Year in Idaho four times. He has consistently been involved in photographic print competitions having won in every photography category offered. He is also currently on the PPA list of approved Photographic print jurors.

Dennis has had his work recognized nationally for his unique style and creativity. He has received numerous Gallery Awards presented by Eastman Kodak recognizing him with "excellence in the photographic industry". Kodak has also used his images for advertising and promotion. Fuji has also awarded Dennis with many awards for photographic excellence.

Dennis has been recognized by his fellow photographers and has appeared as a judge and speaker at professional seminars and conventions across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe.
